The Loveable Farmers’ Market, by Maicey Benjamin

If you had to pick the five most important factors that create a super farmers’ market, they would be: local, local, local, great food, great service. The Bobcaygeon Farmers’ Market has adhered to these principles. It is now in its eighteenth year, and in each succeeding year, vendor participation and patron response has increased.

The selection of vegetables (some organic) and fruits are not only local, their variety and tastes are superb. From corn to garlic and so much in between, the list seems endless. We also feature delicious baked breads and bagels, a huge variety of baked goods including fried pies and fresh donuts, local honey and maple syrup, chicken, beef and pork, herbs, jams, jellies, pickles, 15! flavours of granola, , apple cider, freeze dried candy, slushies and specialty drinks.

Also  available are homemade herbal remedies, soaps, lotions & creams, art, stained glass art, charcuterie boards, pet photography, pottery, jewelry, knitting, crocheting, flowers (both annual and perennial) and worm compost.

If you’re hungry there is a choice of barbequed sausages, hamburgers or hot dogs all of which are sourced locally.

We also feature a community table where local not-for-profit-organizations can promote their causes.

We are always looking for volunteers, so if you have some free time on Saturday mornings…

Please give us a call at: (613) 473-2296. The Bobcaygeon Farmers’ Market is open on Saturdays from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm, May 16th to October 10th, 2026 at the Bobcaygeon Fairgrounds, 47 Mansfield Street, Bobcaygeon.

Come and join us, enjoy the shopping experience and have lots of fun!
